WIND. We are no stranger to this environmental sensation. It comes in many forms, from a soft, gentle, waft of a breeze, to barreling gusts in excess of 50 km/h and stronger. Today’s wind is mid -range, enough to make my hair fly everywhere if I didn’t have a beanie on, but not strong enough for me to look out the window and go ‘stuff that – I’m not going out there’. Over the last 14.5 years, I have had to become somewhat accustomed to all strengths. I may not like it, but I whinge far less about it now. It’s just how it is here.

In one of my ‘I hate the wind’ diatribes, a beautiful friend once explained that she loves the wind and the therapeutic nature it holds. Stand outside in the wind, close your eyes and let the power of it whoosh all your angst away. Now I can’t remember her exact words, but after walking the doggo this morning, I think I finally understand what she was talking about. I let the wind whoosh the pressures of the clock away. Yes, I have to get to work. But in the end, if I don’t have time after the walk to make sure each and every morning job is done before I leave, is it really the end of the world.

I think NOT.

Let the pressure of the clock go! Will be motto for today. If only I could take it off ☹
