"Go Fishing" they said...

What started out as an enjoyable activity for our little family of three to participate in on a chilled Saturday arvo quickly turned into a battlefield. Mr. 13, who specifically didn't want to fish, but rather, be a bait boy. Okay, we get it, he is at that age where family time can cramp his style. But sheesh, it's fishing!! His favourite pastime. So rather than force the issue, I just rolled with it. Things went smoothly, until Mr. 10 started getting some bites, the next thing I knew, the rod had been hi-jacked and a temper spat brewed.

The camera came to the rescue, we left the temperamental fisher-boy to his sport and went for a wander to look around the gardens alongside the Tea Rooms. Mr.10's unique view of things and the questions he asked made for some interesting photo shots. By putting a little space between the siblings, even for a few minutes, made for a relaxed end to the session. No fish were harmed in the making of this adventure, their bellies were filled nicely for the afternoon and we all captured a little fresh sunshine.

I learnt that rope can be fascinatingly interesting and that once it's weathered, it can make for some unusual focal points. Maybe this was my attempt at tuning out the sibling battle... hmm...
