With Love from Wish & Co.

Highly recommended for a worthy book club read!! Completely drawn in from the cover alone, I was in awe of the concept of having and/or being a personal gift buyer, it sounded dreamy and glamorous. Seriously, what female wouldn’t love to be paid to go shopping all day long. Then I remembered, I strongly dislike being surrounded by crowds and that gift buying takes an immense amount of brain power, and just the thought of buying Christmas presents for my family leaves my head hurting, let alone trying to get it ‘right’ for someone else’s family. I’ll definitely be leaving this role for someone else and stick with online shopping instead.

An easy read with clear story lines, With Love from Wish & Co, shows a heart-warming display of family connectedness. The story follows Marnie – A personal gift buyer. Her general day to day life gets a shake up when an unfortunate mix up occurs. She becomes entangled with the Charlesworth family and along the way her personal/professional lines blur. Morals and ethics become a strong focus as Marnie and Luke navigate their way around each other.

A self-made businesswoman out to do it all on her own, Marnie, a member of the long successful Fairchild family, grew up outside of the wealth and power of the surname. Her upbringing couldn’t have been further from Luke’s, however, drawn together, they faced challenges and navigated them both side-by-side and head-to-head.

In her bid to purchase her family’s historical building, she strikes deals and plays the game, only to end up second-guessing her own part in the upheaval of her life and that of the Charlesworth's. By the end though, she achieves her goals and comes out the other side, even richer than her historical namesake.
